sticking diverter valve

Well , after reinstalling my diverter , it moves about a half inch and thats it . I tapped it with a hammer and it opens completely , but wont completely go back to originally starting point , again just moving about a half an inch.

Any clues ? Also , I was refilling the xenotherm - I put approx. 1 gallon in and ran the unit on idle - the top xchanger is filled in the site glass .

Does this usually take a while to go down ? ( I ran it with the top valve open )

yep it takes a lot of patience OR turning the pump on for a few second to cycle it trough the system.

Call me about your diverter, I can walk you through taking it apart assuming it's the version that the "Popsicle stick" is pointing to the sky and not the ground.
