Not I..

By 2012 I'll 100% electronic.

Dumping Bank of America.

Moving my accounts back to my hometown credit union.
No fees. They have been great for personal banking for years.

Clients pay via credit card. Processed via gopayments.

Clients that get billed can either send a check, pay over phone via check of CC or pay online directly from their bank account. ( clients that I email invoices to have really liked this option )

So, with all the checks I collect either in person or via mail will be scanned for electronic deposit, next day funding.

I've been with BofA for years for the business, and a personal account.
Other than being a bank they have not done much for me other than hold a mortgage at one time.
Spokane Teachers Credit Union has been great to me for the majority of my personal banking.
In the past when I've bought cars, trucks, boats etc and needed a loan. A simple 5 min phone call got me the loan, a faxed purchase order moved funds to my account for payment.
Interests rates drop, a phone call has bumped my APR down.

I hear ya Lee..

"In the past", EVERYONE got a loan with a 5 min phone call.

Not any more - unless you have a AAA credit rating.

Even then, you may be asked to come in and "renew" your financial information - not that that's a bad thing.

They always ask to confirm info, run a credit check then email or call me back.

They have tightened up some, I'm not talking home loans, or zero down auto loans.

I carry their credit card, untouchable rate with zero fees..

I got sick of the big banks and went to a local credit union 2 years ago. The big banks would always go out of their way to make me mad. I love our credit union. Easy to get loans.

Good job.
If it was not a hassle at the moment I'd do it too. Give your business to the local community if possible.

Don't tell uncle Kenny though, he thinks that the more corporate one goes, the better. :p
