My little 10 inch CRB

Reg Rogers special... Carpet Clean America.

Authentic Austrian Made

This one is 8 plus years old.

Couple years ago put in some new bearings and end caps.

Been beating on it daily for ever.

There are a number of distributors on this board selling them...

Great unit. One of the most used and abused on the vans :)

Can't agree more Mark. I sold my 10 crb but use my 15 quite often to agitate after I prespray. You know it's working when the customer says, "I've never seen the carpets that clean", and you tell them, "I'm just scrubbing, I haven't cleaned the carpets yet". The reason I like the 15 inch over the 10 is the caddy. It is so easy to bring the machine, take it off the caddy and start scrubbing. Although the 10 inch isn't really that heavy, when you are trying to carry everything in at once, it would be nice to have wheels on it.

I would have to untwist or change that electrical cable! Would grind my OCD.

So true...that's why I let the guys have that one....

That cord on the earlier models were always looking like that.

Now they just come with a shorter cord...and you hook up your extension cord of choice....

Mine is now a blue lighted end...tangle free....woo....I feel better now too :)

I have learned to ignore that cord in the video......

That thing looks great. The CRB I use is a DP420. Old version. It has solution tanks I can fill and shower feed with. The brushes rotate and direct the debris to the center, vs kicking it to the outside.
I think it manily was designed/intended for hard surface, as there is a mechanism to capture solution.
I regularly need to go around and pick up after it, all those golf ball size wads of hair. And what about staple fiber poly!!!!!!

But mainly--- I want to brag that I picked it up for $100.00!

Is there a surplus of 10" CRB's sitting in a warehouse somewhere? I would never go less than a 15". I don't clean with a 10" wand, and I don't prescrub with a 10" CRB. So what are the real benefits of a 10"? Good for RV's and boats? Maybe having my 10 year old son use it would be easier. Barbie houses? I'm trying here guys.

I believe the idea is it works well for steps. I would think the larger is going to be more productive. 10 inches isn't much of a path.

However if space in the truck or weight difference is a concern, the the smaller is a option. Some of ya ain't as young as you used to be. :winky:

Oh, Steps, yes, there is a useful application for the little CRB. Thank you! I'm ordering three now.

Mark, great video, thanks for sharing.

I also agree with the comments above regarding the twisted cord, my main concern would be the cord still on the CRB.

Although it's not of a great length, I always take all of my cable off of any machine I'm using.

Reason being is that I once saw first hand a reel of electrical cable that had all fused together while the electrician was working.

Luckily, he survived.

One other thing about the video & CRB, could you please show us how you clean the carpet next to the vinyl edging strip.

Thanks,

:yoda:

10 inch crb....still has some weight...and some power....

about 35 pounds vs 55 pounds.....

I'm older....I tend to go towards the lighter things now on the van with power yet....

Also, it has enough punch and works well in furnished residential....heck....even did a bank today agitating with them today....

It's heavy enough but light enough that I can grab that with one hand and head in with a wand or Zipper....or.....something else in the other hand....

But on stairs...yep....great too....

I got my first ones when the daughters were working for me....needed smaller for them to grab...and these were new at the time....

Never switched out to larger....if I was doing a lot of commercial....yep....larger...but the 10 inch....just tooo convenient....

And.....It's cute too....

Comes down to a matter of preference I think, In a perfect world I would have both on the truck but I dont have that much room. So I sold my 10 inch and just carry my 15.

For us it comes down to the size of the job. We use the 10" on most residential and the 20" on most commercial however we've used the 20" on some large residential jobs to get the speed we like and the 10" on some smaller commercial jobs.

Ya I have 2 10 inch on each truck, and I do have a 15 inch for commercial and larger vacant residentials. A 10 inch you can CRB just as fast as vacuuming a whole house.

Like Aaron said in the video it's just digs hair out a wand alone could not do.

As far a weight? would ths smaller not be the same as the larger units as far as lbs. Sq. inch. The amount of pressure on the brushes in contact with the carpet. But, smaller area and not as productive.

I have a small 175. I don't know how heavy it is. But I feel it digs as well as a larger one.

The smaller 10" CRB spins at 100 rpms faster than the larger units...
