Stock Photos?

I need a few quality images for my web site and other marketing materials. I can’t find any copyright free images of what I want. The stock photos I like are $250.00 each. I am looking for the typical stuff: Families / kids on carpet, low shots of living room carpets, pets, smiling faces to put next to testimonials. I gave my semi-professional photographer “friend” a piece of remnant carpet and instructions on what I want in exchange for some free cleaning. Now he isn’t answering his phone. Does anyone know how to find what I am looking for? Anyone mind sharing their images?

Istockphoto.com is one of the better sites but the more specific what you need the harder it is to find.

istock and www.dreamstime.com Images should not cost more then 5 bucks each.
