I'm probably like most of you guys or ladies.
I am really getting sick and tired of unsolicited sale's call's from SEO's, Yelp and Home Adviser.
It is a constant thing, you say no once and they call again 2 week's later.

Help!!!!
I don't engage them in conversation. I just say, "sorry, not interested" and hang up.

At one time we had a "no call" feature in Michigan--but it just doesn't work. Constantly called by these scammers more so than legit calls.

Telemarkers sucked the life out of me! Also aggravating are the price shoppers and the bozos who need service the next day.
Now that I'm mostly an O/O I don't bother answering phone- don't have too since I'm booked 2-3 weeks in advance.
If they don't leave a VM- I erase their number.
When I return the calls, I immediately tell them my prices and my distant availability, saving me a lot of time.
I don't even try to sell them to choose me. Its so liberating Not to GAS if they book with me or not.
I can DO THAT because I do Care immensely while performing the service.

I vaguely remember hearing about a Bill to outlaw telemarketers.-- hope it passes since the "no call lists" system isn't working.

still come up as private numbers here, so I let them go to voicemail and leave a message if they dare. Get 3-4 calls most weeks that are private numbers and maybe 1 is a legitimate "possible customer"

I might get a dozen a day between the two phones

all robo calls
most all are local numbers no longer in use ...and ever changing
So you can't block them

the biggest pi55er to me is the tape delay.
Makes it impossible to make sport/entertainment of the occasional "real person" on the line

"This is an urgent call about your Google listing"

I get about 4 of those a day. I have a spam blocker ap (Hiya) on my phone, but they still squirm through. I have hundreds blocked, but now they call from "Unknown" numbers that I can't block. No I just don't answer any numbers that come up Unknown. If they don't leave a message, fine with me. I've probably lose some business not answering these unknown calls, but i'll take the risk.

I sure hope there really is a bill to stop the telemarketers. It's gotten out of control.

I get lots of out town area codes. You need to be respectful because often, they are people who have moved recently and haven't changed their cell phone plan yet.
Yep nearly got caught out twice last week, saw the out of town area code and was debating answering. Both wanted there holiday homes cleaned now they'd gone back home
