Strong Dog Odor

I have had alot of carpets this year with strong dog odor. Five months of winter this year with a lot of snow, most dogs layed around in doors this year. The only way I have found to correct this is to clean the carpet as normal and go over the entire carpet with microban clean carpet sanitizer. Are there any one step products out there to achieve the same results?

You have it in your hands already. Microban Clean Carpet Cleaner is an excellent cleaner as well as deodorizer. Just clean it once with Microban. One thing though, if the odor is really strong, it helps to brush the Microban Cleaner with a 175 first.

What prespray are you using? I had to change mine because of this problem.

Soils n oils deodorizer , pre spray and odor killer in one, works great on the dog stink. another on that works great is just adding hydorcide or odorcide to your pre spray , 2 to 4 oz per gallon should do the trick

Unsmoke/Prorestore once had a compatible prespray made to work with MCCS. They stopped making it, but Degrease-all is compatible for that use. If you can (and your customer can) get past the ammonia smell, it might get you back to one step.

I'm not often one to talk about a product I offer here, but MCCS is one of those really poorly understood and under appreciated products out there.

Add odorcide to your prespray, And then some to your rinse. My prespray is flex, 30 volume plus odorcide. Hasn't failed yet.

Is MCCS designed to add to my extraction detergent (Dry Slurry), or in a headpack by itself? The instructions call for 2oz per gallon, but I didn't see a dilution rate for the headpack?

MCCS isn't designed to be used as an additive, but as a stand alone cleaner. I find a quart per 5 gallons of water works good for me for this problem.

The directions call for 1 to 2 oz's per gallon. Don't opt for the higher dilution just because. 1 oz goes a long way.

Well for a much cheaper product at $15 a gallon I use NSS Carpet Sanitizer, use it as a bonnet cleaner, prespray and extraction rinse.

So why does MiCrOBaN cost so damn much?
