Got a call from the Powerplus guys today. Looking to sell a $1,500 computerized vacuum relief. Anyone familiar with these?

SOVC Turbo Suction Universal Upgrade Module

The SOVC upgrade module delivers Powerplus-patented turbo suction technology to any truck mount. SOVC doubles suction power and reduces drying times by 50%. The SOVC kit replaces the manual relief valve with an electronically-controlled valve system maximizing the suction power of your truckmount. Powerplus includes everything needed to easily install the SOVC module on any truckmount. Standard SOVC kits retail for $1,102.62. The new SOVC-2 kits for truckmounts with 47 blowers and larger retail for $1,378.80. Add $57.39 for the universal installation kit required for either SOVC model.

SOVC-1 Module $1,212.88

SOVC-2 Module (for 47 blowers and larger) $1,516.68

They said it would cut my 24 hour dry times in half.

Bryan;

And I thought the Kunkles were too high !!!

Kevin has had the SVOC's around for a few years.

They are electronic vac reliefs.

In theory, they should work well.

The real question is, how reliable they are in day to day operations.

I'm with Larry>

Actually I sent in a patent application, for the same, that was denied yrs before Kevin did. And I notified Kevin of this, while his application was "pending" prior to.

But then I learned of the Kunkle. It is simpler, in regards to possible future problems.

Thx,
Dale

Man yous guys are killin' me here.......

three small pieces of duct tape placed strategically on the manual relief valve takes my 47 to optimum safe suck level.....

cost...about a penny an' a half!

Is there a room here for smarter cleaners...or is this pretty much it?

Wow!!! I sure didn't spend nothing like that when modifying my system and haven't got to the relief valve yet except for tightening it. Yesterday I made the blower bog and my belts were ready to squeal just as my relief relieved it. Can't tell you what HG cause my vac gage ain't worked properly since I bought this machine used in the mid 90's. Guess that is my next purchase.

Geese, all this without a ROLAID.

We have lots of customers with them, in fact just had two in on monday looking for big vac hose.
They do work, they just don't work any better than a mechanical precision vacuum relief valve.

And frankly, I would rather have one less electronic solenoid on the unit, not one more.

I'm with Greenie.

When they first came out the company I was with at the time bought two.

It didn't take long and they weren't working.

Go with a Bayco, which is less money and one less electronic component.
