I have one that came with the hard boot on it should it be removed and used with the brush ring or leave the hard boot on it while running a truck mount????

Mine is older but has that ring thing with oout it the extraction holes are higher up.

I can't speak for the SX12 but I've had the hard boot on my Turbo and it was a bitch to push... A lot of people told me to use the brush ring instead... I also lower the RPM's on my TM so it doesn't suck down to the floor as hard making it easier to push....

Used it today on a small kitchen left it wetter but not to bad cleaned fine.

never heard of the hard boot. We have a couple of sx-12's & a turbo. All the brushes and are easy to move. The boot must be giving you too much of a seal.
