We're planning a move to Tampa (or close by) from Jan - Mar 31. Our first year will be just Feb. That should give us a chance to see if we really like it. There's a good chance I'll be bringing my carpet cleaning van. I'm hoping to be able to sub contract from anyones overflow just to keep me sane. Maybe 4-6 hrs a day.

Can anyone down there recommend a good spot to stay for the month. My wife would prefer the cruise ship. Is it crazy to think someone will use me as a sub. I'd even do as a helper just to stay in the game.

You are reading my mind. I want to be in Sarasota/Tampa for at least the month of February every year.

I would love to take my equipment and have enough work to keep cash flowing.

If you find anything legitimate please let me know.

This past Feb was brutal. I did 2 jobs for the month and both days my water feed hose froze. The TM heat melted the snow off the top and froze on the way down. The van looked like an ice ball.

Every Feb seems to be the worst around here. We ended up taking a Caribbean cruise the first week of Feb and running around Florida was amazing. I mention going for a month to the wife and she's pushing for 3. Which makes sense. Jan and Mar is kinda crappy too. So I need to plan now.

It's heart breaking to hear all these stories of wow.

I'll leave Florida to the Florites.
So nice to live in the CA Sierra Foothills paradise, where every day is like being on vocation:

How about trying this famous Floridian. He seems like he needs it:
..problem now is time..luckily we are booked out into next weekend with no breathing room..can't wait till the new truck gets here and lets us get these jobs done faster instead of working 2 crews to death. I hate to see my guys working such long days in this heat..4-5 jobs a day 6 days a week is to much. They will burn out but relief is just around the corner thankfully

We like the Tampa Bay area in January - May :)

Spent 3 weeks in Clearwater Beach this past January :)

Really plan to do it again this year, but depends on Mikey Fest in Feb....

Too busy other times of the year to get away vacation wise, so let's get out of this cold MN weather we say...

It's that time in our lives we are trying to enjoy some of this :)

Jan-Mar is nice in the Tampa Bay Area is nice!
Try living here Jun-Aug. :icon_cry:

Hey Rick, let's say hypothetically (I'm definetly going to do it) I show up on your doorstep on Feb 1st with my Cimex and a gallon of Releasit.

What kind of work can you hook me up with? Doesn't have to be glamorous.
