No pics but I do a School every six months that kicks my butt.
about 8 or 9 hours to do it....sometimes but brings in 2 days worth of money....and those are good days of money.

I estimated an almost "for sure" job for a huge mortgage company...About $15,000 to be done in a few weekends. Fell through....you can imagine why.

They were a regular customer of mine so I was excited.
Oh well.

I do 5 schools in a school district.....HWE method. Takes about a month and a half durring the summer 4 days a week. I couldn't do one of the schools durring the summer due to some demolition and construction. I did it on saturdays...... finished it 2 saturdays ago. Took about 6-7 saturdays to do it about 35,000 ft for that one school. Revenue from all the schools is somewhere around 35% of what I did all last year in cleaning or 25% of what I think I'm going to do this year.

The people who tell me how much they will pay are like the freaking Movie Gallery.....they were like we got a budget of $165. 3,000 sq ft building.....needless to say I didn't get the job.

What exactly are charging 6.95 for their water ,you would think thats prespray, wheres the charge for powerscrub and sanitizer (Master of Up sell) That would have been an extra 200 dollars.

My 2 Favs, both quarterly:

1 is 28,000sf of black nylon with brown borders. We have 2guys extracting with tm's and 1 guy prescrubbing with a big crb equipped with a spray system that utilizes the tm. It's a real artsy design studio and has a great atmosphere and some cool stuff to look at, takes about 11 hours on site.

The other is 40,000sf of gcd and very open. We usually have 1 tech wand with the tm and 90% of that is done with a 24" dragwand, 1 tech prescrub with a 28"-34" riding scrubber, and another tech extracting with a Nobles ReadySpace in restoration mode. Takes about 9hrs on site

Most hated Job: 35,000sf of loose rolls (mostly 10x120's) owned by a event staging company. About 15,000sf was used at the worlds largest cake party and was absolute mess. We had to unroll it in a parking lot at night, vacuum it, clean it, dry it, and roll it up again. We had to run our street sweeper before hand, I was tempted to prevacuum the carpet with it, but we used some large battery vacs instead. 14hrs 6 guys never again.

My biggest job was for Northwest Airlines where I used to work for 17 yrs. Me my wife and son did 105 jetway carpets from 50ft to 220ft in length. It took us about 5 weeks ....night shift on a sporadic schedule. Pile lifted it first, Cimexed most of it and hot water extracted some of it. Made it look like new. EVEN got half of the money up front and the other half a week before we finished. I also got a good testimonial letter from the manager I was dealing with. It was worth $20,000.00 Even ran in to a few people I knew out on the ramp and they said FRRRED what the FCK are you doing out here? I do not know what will happen with the merger with NWA and Delta but I would like to do more jetway carpets if the price is right.

Two casinos done for a 5 yr contract for a million give or take a few k.
When it came up for bids again I raised my price 30 % - older carpet gets to be a whole lot more work and they had cut the nightly Jan/vacuuming crews by 75%.

Can't say it bothered me to lose it.

What method used, Tony?

My biggest was either a church sanctuary or a church gym. Can't remember which was bigger.

I used HWE. Kicked my butt. I wish I had an OP.

My biggest job wasn't by sq ft, but was by buildings. 6 buildings at a corrections facility I do twice a year. 6 set ups and tear downs. All building are spread out from each other. 1 huge class room, the size of a gym, was the worst. Prevac, prespray scrub with cimex, HWE, then finished with a cimex shampoo for the wicking. Carpet was full of sand and dirt. 12 hour day

Large skating rink under a shopping center.Think of a skateland or skatetown.

Had to park the truck at the top of the driveway that went down at a 45 degree angle.
250 feet of hose , did all the carpet and then 250 feet of 10 foot carpeted wall all around the rink. And 100 feet of interior waiste high carpeted wall.Had to move the truck twice to access the area.

My prochem would only hold 60 gallons before it shut off.
I can't count how many times I had to run up the ramp to dump.

Non stop 10 1/2 hours by myself.

Did the ten foot walls and interior walls with my stairtool, all 250 feet of it.

1/2 hour before I was done the owner who was there the entire time said would you do my office too? 200 sq ft and ten foot carpeted walls also.

$750

I was so tired at the end that when I got home I slept a whole day.

I was working a night job to support the family and had to take a day off.

I have never had anything over 4500 sq ft

My commercial jobs average around 2,000 the biggest was 4,500

As for lippage lippold I thought he said he had like a 90,000 sq ft job once. I could be wrong it was a mall like the biggest he is talking about

I can't remember them all.. Lots of 10,000 to 20,000 sq ft jobs. We did a clothing store that was about 75,000 carpet and 20,000 in vct. We used a tm, bonnets and portables on that. We did an apartment high rise that was about 40,000 sq ft of hallways and about 80 apartments. Gotta love a nice mix of big medium and small jobs, but those big checks are always nice..

I think my biggest chunk of a 100,000 sq. ft contract I have is 12,000 sq. ft. I haven't cleaned all 100,000 sq. ft yet though.

I have a 4 or 5 thousand square foot restaurant I do once a month in the middle of the night....
