They want you to strip old finish off then polish it the "right" way?

If so that would be one big a$$ polish job.

Then you wouldnt be able to honestly price it until it is stripped. Who knows what damage is underneath that caused the last servicer to put a top coat on it.

wouldn't even entertain a quote until they paid for a sample area. Do a sample area, with the equipment you will use, then you know what you need to use. what kind of sealer is on the floor, what kind of stripper do you need to use, how long will it need to dwell. These are all things you'll want to know before getting neck deep in something like this.

that's a huge strip job let alone trying to polish that kind of square footage. I have a retail store we have worked for off and on and its 40k sft. The thing about a strip and wax job is that some times when you strip there may be very small amounts of floor finish left on the floor here and there and it will usualy blend. If you are trying to polish, that stuff will have to be took all the way down to the bare bones. What kind of place is it? is there fixtures that need moved? these people must have some long bank because from what I calculate just stripping alone without miving any furniture you would be in the neighborhood of 3-6 grand depending on buildup and that using a nice propane stripper and auto scrubber. Do they make a hire production stone polisher or would you need to order a pallet of diamond pads and dust? jeez that would be a job for the history books.
