I thought about buying a cheap electric pressure washer and going in with guns blazing. Not a good idea?

make sure the drain is working, remove all paper products, wear goggles and mask and blast away.. Its quick, easy and you can stand back and keep away from the nasty stuff. don't wet any outlets.
