I would say I vacuum more than 50 minutes a day...and to be honest I see absolutely no need for a cordless vacuum or crb. I can get through hundreds of jobs without electricity and I don't think it's a big deal to use a cord anyways.

My son in law has an 80 volt Kobalt weed eater. Impressive power.

That generation of battery power could change everything.

Pretty cool item for a Home Owner who only has her House Keeper in weekly. Do maintenance vacuuming with it. But I really wonder how long the cordless revolution is going to last if lithium is the power source. Very toxic and the lithium mines are turning rain forests into moonscapes. Other than freedom of movement these are still items that get plugged into the power grid which is primarily powered by fossil fuels. Nice item though.

My main point is I prefer the corded tools. So I agree that lithium is less hazardous than other batteries. Fire is an issue with lithium powered things ... hover boards are recent example. My opinion Lee :-)

Only 2% of the total Tesla battery cell is lithium the rest is nickel-cobalt-aluminum cathodes...

Today my car charged from the free clean gift of the sun connected to the solar panels on my roof.

At the end of the useful life of the batteries (guessing 15+ years) Tesla will take the battery back & recycle it & re-use the Li ion & other minerals in a environmentally way at their under construction Reno Nevada "GigFactory".

Maybe continuing to drill, transport & go to war over oil is better???

You live in California and I'm from California. The State is floating in oil. I have gone scuba diving off Santa Barbara's UCSB and you can literally watch the oil percolate out of the sand bottom. You don't have to be a Scuba Diver to know there's lots of oil there though because it's stuck to your feet just walking on any beach from Gaviota to Isla Vista. So go to war over something so abundant in this country? No reason to. Your solar panels and your Tesla are made of by products from the oil industry. Do you think they are mining all the rare earth minerals for the electric motors in your car with solar powered heavy equipment? Like the solar panels they are mined and made in China where there are no environmental rules at all. Feel as Sanctimonious as you want because you have the new Prius ... Tesla. You aren't saving the planet with your car. Sorry. https://weather.com/series/great-ou...is-a-result-of-mining-for-tech?pl=pl-hot-list Sorry to the group if this is political but ... he started it. https://weather.com/series/great-ou...is-a-result-of-mining-for-tech?pl=pl-hot-list

There I fixed it.

LOL... Relax Nazarian, just kidding.
I'm good, I see both sides, today I went for nice Tesla drive having charged off the solar panels & tomorrow morning I have to stop at the gas station to fill up the V8 Chevy Van with "dinosaur juice" & will be spewing C02 all week.
