"Hey Mr. Steve, Senor Rolley is making weird noises!"

Rolley is my wonderful, hardworking Duplex dp420 and we were fixing to scrub a vinyl floor. One of the roller brushes was all jammed, so we used the 175 and a mop.

Then yesterday I opened it up and found four shattered nylon gears. Sorrow in my soul... But a search of the Stinkernet found no parts. Never claimed to be good at searching.

Anyhow, my man Rodney at Excellent Supply had a parts schematic to me in 30 minutes and we'll be getting the replacement gears in due course. So here's my questions:

With CRB's, what has been your experience with gears failing? Age, sucking cords, jouncing the machine, what?
I'm looking for anything to help train the elves in the path of righteousness.

So everyone else gets to flap on about their SuperSoaker55 and ScrubMaster1200 and Sodomizer2015 and my traumatic, catastrophic loss is a Dumb Ass Thread?

No wonder those pigs keep trying to escape...

BTW Desk Jockey, I bought some that Flex you recommended. Stuck in a Gadsden job last night with Rolley dead and my HWE gear in Huntsville, had only cold water, a Rug Doctor and Flex. The CGD carpet had been saturated in hot cooking grease.

It came clean as could be. Took a lot of work, too much time and several passes, but the owner was so pleased that he doubled my fee.

Thanks!

Well, good news! Rodney at Excellent Supply has located and priced new gears! He seems to find weird stuff pretty quickly; let me recommend trying him out.
Not taking away from anyone else here, so don't misunderstand. Just glad I can look forward to getting Senor Rolley back to work!
