We are looking to fill a part to full time assistant position to clean carpet, tile/stone and upholstery, five days a week. Hour will range from 20 to 50 or so in the busy summer season.
The fun facts:
Our average work day involves visiting homes (and businesses) that range from the slimmest of single wides to the grandest of Silicon Valley Mega Mansions. Each and every project is unique with its own set of challenges ranging from 1970's Avocado shag carpet to restoring exotic stone countertops and floors. Our days are fast and furious so you'll never be watching the clock or bored to tears licking stamps or folding cardboard.
To be honest, we would prefer a female to fill this position as the potential to improve our customer experience is more likely. Our current Crew Chiefs are as male as can be and don't always have the feminine touch that our service can require.
If you have relationship marketing skills (low pressure sales) and are comfortable around the interior designer crowd, or just enjoy a challenge and don't have a shy bone in your body, there are some $eriou$ commissions to be made selling our premium fiber protection services.
The Boring facts:
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be able to handle moderately physically demanding work for 8 hours.
Will train in all aspects of carpet, upholstery, tile and stone cleaning, identification, sealing and repair
Excellent driving record is a must
Drug screening plus future random screening.
Criminal background check.
Benefits and vacation pay with tenure.
Clean cut is a crucial, yep, no acceptions.
The just plain facts:
Office is in Santa Cruz near Costco, most work is in Santa Cruz County. A few days a month spent in the San Jose or Monterey area.
8AM starting time, usually done by 5/6pm. Occasional late days till 8PM
Being a seasonal service, hours will range from 20 to 50 a week.
MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION to get to work on time.
$12 per hour to start and wages increase (quickly) as your responsibility and talents grow.
