I got a tour of the latest version and a preview of their big announcement for this Wednesday's MB Webinar and I must say..

Very impressive. Simple yet powerful.

Especially for you one truck, no phone help guys. The price is ridiculously low.

Be sure to log on if you've been considering stepping up or over to online/ mobile data management.

It can.

Each offering has their unique attributes.

Both manage your client base, both create routes, both let you market to you customers.
s

SM is more feature rich, especially on the company reports side.

HCP is focused more on its mobile platform. Interaction is very streamlined, making it very Chimp friendly.

HCP has an app for home owners that directs them to service companis like us. 10% finders fee...

Stop by the webinar tomorrow night to see HCP in action

Full Circle only answered your phones.

They shut down last year. Service Monster is rumored to be offering that service one day.

HCP.does not book your appointments in any way. Imy pretty sure even Fiddlebug dies not work with it.

Yet it's very much designed for the new generation of customers who don't want to talk to you. ..

I will tell you I have been paralleling both services. I have been with SM for several years and won a years worth of HCP at Mikeyfest. For a single operator like myself, I think HCP is the cats meow, very friendly to use. Pros: Extremely easy to book a new client and or job. As soon as you book a job, the client automatically gets a text and email with the confirmation date and time (very slick). Next, I have an email automatically sent two days prior reminding them of their appointment and with the precleaning instructions. I have the drip system set up so after the job they get a thank you card (65 cents) , sixth month automatic email, one year physical card (65 cents) and so on . Its all automatic. You can add a "tag" if you want to skip these. To send a one time blast campaign either by card or email is as easy as 1,2,3. No importing exporting yada yada.

Cons: Not nearly as robust as SM if you want to delve into the details like percentages of work type, etc.

I know Joe spoke about this brilliant drip system (HCP is already has) that is eventually coming to SM but its taking a long time. I'm waiting for the new Mobile 5 before I make my decision.

I'll be dead before I figure out to fully use the features ALREADY available on SM as it is today.

Upgrades go unnoticed.

And my son is just as technically challenged as I am.

Looks like I might need to sit in for this one.
For us latecomers to the webinars, how do we get to them?

No Fittlebug wouldn't work for me, I think. 1/2 of clients book online in busy season. I'll check out the webinar though, both services set me back $280 a month

Can I try it for 30 days for free to see if I like it

We have a 30-day money back guarantee, so it's essentially the same thing. And we'll be announcing something VERY HUGE on the webinar where you won't even have to worry about doing a trial!

Yes, we only integrate with QuickBooks Online. We will never support the Desktop version since Intuit (who makes QuickBooks) will be EOLing (end-of-life) it.

I understand that, it's too bad QB is the only game in town and their online version is so poorly executed.

Yeah, I was just at their flagship conference this week and they say they are going to put more and more resources into making it better luckily...

not so sure about that found this at sleeter.com

Intuit has been telling us for some time now that QuickBooks Desktop is not going away. Last November I asked Dan Wernikoff (the Intuit Senior Vice President with responsibility for all things QuickBooks, and more) if the desktop product was going away and he said (in my article on Intuit and the Future of QuickBooks Desktop) :

“I can’t see a time when we are not doing a desktop release”

That's cool, here is a picture of me with the founder of Intuit. That's not what was told to me. (PS he is the boss)

They support their Desktop releases for about 3 years, so I would assume we'll have a fully functional Desktop version until at least 2020 (or maybe much longer, I'm sure the market will dictate).

Last I checked it out, QB Online felt like it was in beta. No other way to put it than it was just really, really bad compared to Desktop.

Agree QB Online is definitely NOT as full featured as Desktop (they have a 20 year head start). It's getting better and better though
