I thought drywall mud is water based. When its on carpet just a few passes with the wand will soften it and it's gone.
Don't understand why if its dw mud it will not come out. Vinyl planking is non porus. Could it be something else?

I think any pad would skate over the mud embedded in the crevices of the pattern. CBR with the pattern to get into the crevices? High pressure grout tool? Test acids to find one that dissolves the mud without damage to the tile?

I was too busy placing 22 shells everywhere to consider using an acid to breakdown the alkaine base in drywall .. I've have never had a problem that this facility in the past with the many drywall messes that always clean up easy...they must have changed brands or not telling me the whole story

Sounds suspicious to me. Shouldn't be that difficult.... CRB or TRS Grout Brush should make short work of it.
