So I be starting from scratch equipment wise in my Nevada venture.
I've not commited to a truck or mount yet but a deal was made on a Vario OP and Cimex today.

The Vario appeals to me for hwe prescrubbing ( 80# with out the weights) some tile and stone work as well as its obvious encap ability and post bonneting behind the Mex

A Dwell Pro with the new super vacs is in the works as well..

I have Rotovac and Titanium PMF handtools

And I stole a gummy shark and half a rolll of Sticky Tabs from Davis.

My supplier was putting the el Diablo in a dodge pro master. Had an old white magic water tank and Mytee plastic shelving. He build a riser for the spool and mounted the pressure reel under it. It looked good. Fit the van well.

You were giving me crap a few years ago about how long it took to prescrub HWE with my Brute. Same type of lawnmower. But it works great.

I like it but without a recovery tank its going to cause you get creative with some setups. I think it would shine in a corporate setting provided you have access to a janitors closet or rest rooms.

That being said you can go way further in this business with a great personality then being a great cleaner .. Really I would say the actual cleaning is about half of the cleaning "pie", if that..

Someone they can trust in the home alone NEXT TIME. ( so the can have their stuff cleaned while at work or on vacation)

A freindly smile and ability to communicate with like mindedness

Some with ties or accountability to the community

Knowledge of items cleaned and what is best for them


And finally, being able to pull it off with reasonable dry times and an even appearence.

You should consider the fact that whatever you buy now may very well be inevitably doomed to quickly becoming a secondary back up unit as soon as you accept the fact that you may never be able to scratch the itch you have for going BIGGER and badder.

Mike, I think this should start with asking yourself these questions:

1. What do you like to do when it comes to cleaning? Buy equipment that will allow you to do those things you enjoy doing.

2. How much work do you have to do, if anything, to supplement your income there? My guess is that you can make enough money doing what you like to do part time that you won't be stuck doing things you don't like to do.

3. Once you know what you have to do (money wise) and are honest with yourself about what you like to do (what items or surfaces you wish to clean and or treat), then you'll know what makes sense to buy for yourself.

You probably don't need a truck mount. But I know myself that every time I use a portable either on a demo or one of my properties when my truck mount has been sold and not yet replaced, I hate myself and hate what I'm doing. Sorry about that Willy....I guess its a character defect. Don't judge me too harshly.

Before you buy a portable, see if you can use it for a week, and offer to pay them back a fair rental fee if you decide to return it.

Cleaning with a portable isn't what drives me nuts, its the set up and tear down...including looking for the ideal place to set up the "fill and dump" hoses.

I think you'll feel like you are trying to cut down a tree with a hatchet...all the while having used a chain saw for decades.

Sure ,easy enough to set up the Dwell Pro in the kitchen in a modest home/condo or apt, but what happens when you need to clean 4 rooms all 100 feet or more apart...which is often the case in high dollar estates..

Sure ,easy enough to set up the Dwell Pro in the kitchen in a modest home/condo or apt, but what happens when you need to clean 4 rooms all 100 feet or more apart...which is often the case in high dollar estates..

You'd just use as much of the yellow sheath bundle from where you set up, to roll the Dwell closers to the rooms. You could roll the machine to each room and you'd only need a short pressure and vac hose.
