Saw tooth with a wand?

Any mode of cleaning will leave marks in cut pile carpet: sawtooth patterns, swirls, wand marks, grooming marks, vacuum lines, etc.

Here's a story from my retail commercial carpet cleaning days. We were scheduled to clean the carpet in a very upscale store. The vice president of their entire chain of stores was making a visit to this store and they wanted us to clean the carpet the night before the VP's visit. I asked the store manager if we could maybe clean it earlier in the week so the swirls from our Cimex could have a chance to fade from their plush carpet. Her reply: "No we love the marks, that's why we want you to clean the night before the visit". So we went ahead and cleaned the night before as they'd requested - swirls and all. I checked back with the store manager later and she said the visit went great. Goes to show, you can't second guess what people like. It may not be as big of a deal as you think it is.

My customers don’t care, but I do and I have em groom with the crb after Cimex. Love my 15” crb for that. Before that I used a driveway broom.

I like to leave a scalloped arch pattern across plush carpet; working the Cimex backward out of a room making overlapping stripes. It leaves a cool looking design on the carpet.
