I was using my techs van instead of the vortex the other day. I was about to have a tantrum because his old vinyl cuffs where not tight enough and keeped coming apart during the roll up onto the electric hose wheel.
Then I remembered I had Mikey cuffs and connectors, the ones that started this thread, in the front seat; problem solved.
But I did nearly hurt myself trying to get the connectors and cuffs to mate.. I can see where it would have been more difficult in colder weather.

I'm surprised anyone would use normal cuffs anymore? We immediately switch to cool cuffs and Wanders lil better vacuum hose as soon as we get a new truck. Normal cuffs would piss me off if I knew there was a better choice.

i was thinking of this thread yesterday as we are dragging hoses through piles (feet) of snow and ice....and then fighting to keep it organized in a smaller older home with less than 3 foot wide hallways, trying to keep corner guards in place to protect, and just the tightness of the home (3 levels also)....

and then the cold makes it more miserable and the vac hoses are just a bitch to work with....

Then...you wrap up the hoses you have outside...and the van is loaded with snow again dragging in....

Then add -25 degrees below zero...and I can't tell you how much it kicks the crap out of you!
