My hair was rising.if your hair is not raising and its painful, thats usually a short from on the ac side... if your hair raises, you could be generating a charge between the carpet and brushroll.. still they try to ground that out as well..
The outlet I plugged it into today was a gfci. It didn’t trip and it wasn’t staticPlug it in to a GFCI outlet. If it trips, you know the machine is buggered. If not, it’s just the static on that day or on that rug.
