up to...and including 02 Chevys......my granddaaughter could put one in...
after that it gets a little more complicated
specs?
The only difference is a USED blower.....
and
$5000.00 make yor own Wastetank(easier to ship)
$6000.00 comes wit a retrofitted to the larger blower...wastetank!

Find a low milage 02 van..$4000.00...
buy a $6000.00 Genie
complete Direct Drive Systen....10 GRAND...can't beat the deal!

yor OTHER choice is buy propane forever...OR
smell lik Kero ever day when you come home!

If it is hx, how hot does it run?

liquid heat transfer, Dan.
It uses the van radiator coolant to run thru a HX'r .
It's one of the more (most) bullet proof reliable type of HX'r

as far as heat, 200 give or take in summer, 'bout a buck-eighty in winter..depending

I've seen Bob's work.
I bust the Ole Boys chops for fun, but his re-builds really are top tier

Bawb just for future info. It might be easier than it used to be to put one in a newer van with drive by wire. I have a box under the dash that hooks to the computer that idles the engine up electronically. Butler uses them too. The device is like $450 bucks, I don't know how it hooks to the key on the machine and the parking brake/shifter but that's all I think there is to it. I think it might read those things from the computer and just have a switch to the key which also engages the clutch.

This is what it looks like

cool thanks Tim...the larger problem is fabricating an additional belt system on the front of the motor...
this involves an extra pully mounted to the harmonic balancer wit a tensioner....it's not exactly rocket science......but DOES involve a lot of time!

Buy the part from Hydramaster, or Cleanco. I don't know if butler would sell the parts. They have them already figured out cause they obviously put a clutch/pto on my belt system of my 2007 van.

That sounds ideal for residential work.

Bawb,

And how's the heat when using dual wands?

Is it the same as 1 wand, or is there a drop in available heat?

PS - Get rid of those 2 -90's coming off the tank too.

Those plastic 90's are very restrictive, I don't even think they are a full 2" opening. A smooth flowing curve is better than an abrupt "L" shaped pattern. I'd like to change mine out on my CDS eventually.....but I'm a BDCC and have been doing without with no problems.
