Did you know Larrys right hand man? Was it Ed or Dennis? Moved to Des Moines, Iowa. He is opening up a carpet cleaning store.

Been using one of these for over 7 yrs. Much better than grandi groomer, leaves the carpet nice a smooth/even.

$58 at my suppliers
Even witha stronger dollar, Canadians still get ripped off.

For one it leaves no groves or marks in MOST pile types, it picks up left over hair and yarns like it was made of Velcro and you can use any length handle with it unlike the Grandi series of rakes.

I vacuum before I HWE, and after I VLM, so I don't have trash issues on my freshly cleaned carpets. You hack.

Plus, my hole glide leaves that freshly groomed look after my drying strokes.

You rocket scientists sure make things complicated.

Mikey;

There are actually two different brushes like the photo you posted.

The black nylon, which is the most commonly used,

and the white nylon, which is stiffer for badly matted carpet.

The deck looking brushes work great for agitating in your prespray.
They need to be broke in a little and eventually the water will rot the head but you can get a year or two out of them.

Of course it's just one more item to carry on your truck and one more to leave behind! :(

I found this to be the best...........

one side for agitation and the other for grooming.carry in one tool......

the brush is not to stiff but yet not to soft..............

gives the carpet a real nice appearance...................

The difference between the Grandi brush and this one we're talking about is it is stiffer and about an inch wide, not just one row of bristles, which I've found just isn't stiff enough to do the job.

I've never seen the white one but the black one works extremely well for agitating prespray, pushing it both ways, esp on soft berber. Don't know how many times the client came in and said the carpet looked that much better and all I had done to that point was vacuum, prespray and groom! Blew me away one day when they said it looked better than the last cleaner had gotten it!

For a finishing brush, by pulling back only, you can leave the carpet looking like it was freshly laid, no teeth marks.

I bought one for prespray and one for finishing. Now its a no-brainer at $20 each when my min is $150, but 7 yrs ago it was a $100 investment when my min was $90! But they sure last well.

BTW, I've got 2 GGs here if anyone wants them, just taking up space. One needs a handle.

I had the duo Jim has..

POS.

Handle is too short, the brush side flounders around and does not pick up lint/hair well and the whole thing is clumsy.

There are many forms,I have all the above.

With the exception of the Broom.Mine is shaved to just about one third is original width...Trick is getting one with the correct firmness of bristles...

The work well,One neat set up is what Al Sims posted in a picture...

That handle makes you want to groom...

Have a 30 year old shag rake...

Have that triple wide grandi groomer also...

It is unwieldy for residential. But with a 2 man crew...Makes grooming so much easier...

Use a lambswool one for dojo floors...With Haitian cotton shampoo...
Use it for lite foaming action in old area rugs and wool wall to wall...

I'm going to get a 2 foot red bristled push broom at Lowes.

Stiff bristles.
