I don’t know, I made fun of holed glides, but I had a really good day with my newest wand and a holed glide. I don’t have a scientific way to measure water on carpet, but when I put my hand flat on the carpet, there wasn’t much water on my hand.

I also just got a text from a good customer, who replied to my text to her about her carpet, and she said her carpet was completely dry to the touch a couple hours after I left. And I have a little machine.

That customer had lots of piss spots, so she will let me know in a few days if anything wicked back. I kind of doubt it, cause I was shocked at how the carpet felt.

Yes, it was Joe’s glide with bigger holes.

Probably be ok unless she pisses on the carpet again.

Ken Hairazz started the fantubulous dry-time claims of glides.

Greenie came up with the "slot velocity" advantage of holes

Every one of us that felt the carpet immediately after a hole glide ran over it, were pretty amazed at the "feel" compared to slot or non glide wand
Me included

It wasn't til I did my first side by side same room/same day
(two identical quality synthetic 5 X 7 throw rugs)

immediately after cleaning them there was an amazing "touch/feel" difference
30 minutes later when we moved them, you couldn't tell which was which by feel

That got me doing other side by sides in my own home on three different types of carpet
(heavy cut pile nylon, mid wt cut pile poly, low loop pile olefin)

very few have done side by sides
even fewer have done it right
(meaning same room/same day/ same wand too)

do it right, and come to your own conclusions

That’s a lotta gagging at a nat and swallowing a camel

for a janitor, you make sense once in awhile..

BUTT....I think we need a good ole dry-time thread and what "dry" means

depending on who you ask, it's anywhere from

"no water dripping off their hands after touching"
to
your pants knee not getting wet when kneeling
to
toilet paper mashed down with no evidence of wet
to
whenever the custy thinks it's dry
to
same moisture condition as before the cleaning
(the one that I subscribe to)

given the hand "feel" test.
I discovered you can decrease your dry times significantly by doing this;

feel the carpet
Go wash your hands and towel dry them, then "feel" test again

BAM!!! it amazing how fast they dried in that 2 and half minutes
fo-reel
