stalled traffic at 95 degrees cuased it to over heat
really?
that's pretty sad
You sure the cooling system is up to par?
last year I had to babysit a contractor at a problem child homeowner's house
It was 90+ degrees
I sat in my car w/air on for hours on end

Well it did it again on the way home, this time I just turned the heater on and opened the windows and the warning went away
If he threw in just H2O, of course it’s going to boil over… but yup, cooling system issues. You have a problem.
I'd start with a system flush, new juice and new T-stat

it never boiled over and the dash gauge never went above mid way....
Try some wetter water?topped it off with Prestone and no issues today under the same exact conditions and location
it never boiled over and the dash gauge never went above mid way
It was good for a few days and then it boiled over again
well boiled anyway, gauge topped out this time..

Must be..is the cooling fan working?
..L.T.A.
Most likelyWater pump is failing.
Must be..
"Most likely"Water pump is failing.
why?
the lectro fan doesn't run all the time
It only cycles on when a certain temp is reached, then shuts off
I know you're hard of hearing, but with you hearing aid, you should be able to hear it cycle on and off if you can't see it
"Most likely"
how do you figure?
It's belt driven.
If not dribbling water, the impeller is circulating coolant
I don't believe water pumps work sometimes and sometimes not
confirm the cooling fan is working or not
if it is, flush the cooling system and replace the thermostat

The coolant evaporates when the leak is slow.why?

Can you be here by 8am on Saturday?

Sometimes you can hear the bearings making noise.
I've been nervous with my van for a couple months.
I have had water pumps fail because of the bushings or bearings have worn out. Still spins but not at the right rpm. Will be ok on the highway but will overheat under a heavier load like going up hills. They don't make the impellers like they used to.why?
