Since upgrading to 2.5 from the standard 2" for the Thermalwave Vortec, a few things I've noticed.
1) Quicker dry times. When kneeling to block/tab, knees are much if not all dry.
2) Even with a Greenglide (slotted, of course), it's a lot harder to push/pull the wand.
3) I've been changing out the filter pantyhose (yeah, go head and laugh, but they work) 3-4-5 times as much as with the 2" system. I'm going to buy some Saiger-approved paint can filters, which will be more economical. Hell, I might even pick up a 2.5" Devastator.
4) TM runs much cooler, even in this freakin' heat.
OK....all you short timer guys with a few years under their belt cleaning, (I've been at it for 38 years), Let loose with the critiques!
