Looking at adding the new SS pro 1200se to the aresenal. I have enough equipment for 3 vans, which would work out since the pro can duel wand.

but once i add a new van how do i determine how to use which one. use the new one for big commercial is given but do i keep using the old one for every day use or take the new one out for everything?

i think just being able to knock out a large job in half the time would be awesome.

from the manual for the machine., gonna guess thats why its got 2 ports and 2 solution line outputs, and has a prefilter to the actual tank filter.

page 25 of the manual.

DUAL WAND OPERATION The direct drive Pro-1200 SE has sufficient capacity for dual wand operation with minimal pressure loss at each wand. The pump pressure and temperature can remain at the same levels as for single wand operation. The chemical flow rate may be set slightly higher than for single wand operation. Always use the LOWEST flow rate that properly cleans the affected areas. Excessive chemicals can cause damage to the items being cleaned.

That's about as dual wand capable as the El Diablo.... Which is also sold with that bs. Yes it has dual vac ports an dual solution outlets...but trust me: that is not capable dual wanding in real life.

ill be taking a look at one in person soon and possibly testing it in duel wand mode. i wouldnt need a constant need for duel wanding, just once in a while when needed. plus i will be keeping my current setup.

Our Butlers with the big blower claim over 500 cfm and also claim it is a dual wand unit. Our attempts at dual wanding have not been that great. Dual furniture tools or maybe 3 or 4 but not enough suck for dual carpet cleaning, in my opinion.

If @GeneMiller said he could feel the slight difference "when one person took off the cuff to suck something up" on his 870 when using both Zippers....I doubt the Pro1200 is that great for dual wanding.....

Can it be done, I'm sure it can........Will it be sufficient, depends on your standards..... El Diablo reduces the vacuums down to 1.5" hose and wands with a #6 flow each..... Yes, it works but what's your standard setup and flow on your wand?

I've read more than one person post about only being able to pull so much air through a wand. So if you have a machine that does twice that you can dual. I think the number is usually around 250. I'd have to disagree with that. Maybe if you had zero friction. My 5m had 4" straight to the filter box and was run a hair below the manufacturers limit for it. I would say it was adequate if both tools remained on the carpet. It was used on dual plenty without any problems, but It didn't have any heat. My lift was set at 17 hg but when you add a 2nd tool the gauge would drop to 12. You couldn't pop off the hose to suck something up without having portable suction. The 870 on the other hand has all the heat you'll ever need plus on high speed when you pull off the vacuum it only drops to 12hg. I know guys that run their machine that way. Personally I prefer at least 15hg. When I add the second line the lift drops a little at the gauge but minimal. It's just my opinion but to be able to dual as well as a single wand you probably need something like 3 x what's really needed.

I have the Pro-1200 (2014, so not the latest babe). Great machine.
Dependable, powerful, great heat. I wouldn't buy it for dual wanding.

Hey Scott,

Sent you some other info, and some of this is repeat for others as well....but...

Just wanted to share a link to my Public drop box with some PowerPoint info that might be of help.....as there is a segment in there that has info about how much money we actually discovered we were saving and making extra.

We also found it easier to get people to trust new people as they were there cleaning with me, people started to trust them, and then we just got crazy busier!

The 2 vans works great for us...we sometimes just even help the other person get set up, prevaced and other items prepped and the other heads down the road to do the same at another job site,

Then the second van rolls up, gets the hoses off the truck and we knock it out quicker....

People honestly really love it as we explain we can get in and out quicker for them to get on with their day, and also things get drying quicker for them....

So sent you a link to my public drop box which will go to pdf format....

This is the super long version, but the actual version for the show was only 50 pages less....LOL..

Let me know how I might be able to help.

2 vans has been some of the best for us....good thing our beauty school daughter needed a job....or I would have never discovered this....

If not the AT-- then Get the ProChem 650 Hp if you want to do dual wand most of the time.. otherwise get whatever and only do single wand-- use at least 50ft 2.5 hose from the TM to help with suction.
I don't believe in using 2 van at one job site. Id rather have the 2 vans "grabbing money at 2 different locations". I've used my Vortex triple wanding on about 40,000 sq ft 5 story building before-- that was nice and tiring--

running 8 flow right now with a machine half the size as the pro 1200 and im getting 1 hr dry times on most jobs.

unlike alot of you guys i always run glides. i would duel wand with 2-2" wands both with holed glides. both with soft touch valves, both running to a cdv box cdv box running as close to the wands as possible. i also like how the new pro 1200 has a prefilter and then a tank filter so your not trapping a ton of big things in the finer filter thus keeing the airflow up.
