I've been running a 15 foot flexible 2 inch hose up to my 1 1/2 inch wand for years. It takes you stoopids forever to figure that out. I think most of you were retard grocery baggers not long ago.

Next time the wife (girlfriend) makes you clean the carpet in your home.
Make her happy, do it this weekend.
Do half a room with regular 2" and half with the 11/2 and see what's the difference.
The rest is speculation.
Not the happy wife/girlfriend though :winky:
I guarantee in my world there would be no difference.

How about a wand that dosent allow the steam to fill the air space with excessive humidity. Use a guard to trap the steam allowing it to hover over the carpet with out escaping into the air. This way youre not waiting for the airspace to dry which will allow the moisture from the carpet to rise faster.

While yer at it, you could attach a light weight fan to yer wand above the head facing you to help cool you off as its drying the airspace above the carpet.

I've been trying to figure out that fan thing for years. A turbo driven fan that attaches to your wand and uses the airflow passing through to power the fan. Only problems are gunk clogging it up and wacking it against stuff. I guess battery powered would be the way to go.

Got mine at dultmiers , came in a 15 foot length. Great for that lead hose.
Have been using it or a new one for around 12 years I'd say.
