wand and the darn things sprung a leak.

Drenched walls and ceilings and floors with black gunk everywhere.

This is the metal hose with the plastic outer covering.

I have had the orange Parker in the past.

Do you guys rate it?

Freeze recently?

It has been unseasonably cold by our standards but no lower than 8C.

Luckily I just started wanding and felt this rapidly growing hot wet patch on the outside of my right thigh.

I tried bending it (the hose) but that didn't stop the flow.

I was contemplating taking a pic of the mess which was pretty severe.

All cleaned up and swapped hoses to complete the job and repaired the hose for $23.

I reckon I will replace them all because if it was one of the other hoses and i didn't notice it then the damage might be horrific.

One of our guys had a hose burst a week ago Saturday while cleaning a law firm. One of the law firm's partners 12 year old son was there, sitting in a chair watching. The hose landed in his lap and soaked him with hot water. Thankfully the crew had just started and the water was not too hot.

When I heard about it on Monday morning, I was prepared for the worse. I had the account manager for that job call first thing to find out what was going on and to prepare for the worst. I told the account manager to offer a couple of tickets to any kind of sporting event that the boy might enjoy. His mother, the law firm partner, suggested maybe he would like an Amazon gift certificate instead. When she talked to her son he suggested that we take that money and donate it to the Humane Society.

What a good kid!!!!

Anybody put a shut off after there lead hose? May be just another place in the hose for a fail. What we need is a quick connect with its own shut off.

You tried Bending or Pinching the hose? A high pressure hose? Really? Did you think it was like garden hoses?

You had to have been in panic mode to think that.

It was unreal.

I set my pressure high - 650 to 700 -with number 1 jets so the carpet isnt over wet.

As I also do pest control when we have a blow out on a low pressure hose that is what I do for that.

But yeah - I was at the furtherest part of the house from the front door, carried the wand into the hall, dropped the wand and raced to the van to turn the machine off.

I wasn't really panicking just knew what I had to do.

didn't think to pull vac hose and cover the spray??

..L.T.A.

I did that last time it happened a few years back.

In this case I wasn't able to cover it and get to the front door.

Yeah that is a good way to mitigate the damage but only very short term if you don't have an off sider.
