The new stair tool showed up for some testing. Tony got this to me to test it out. 10 inch aluminum head, swivel, 4 jets, s bend ti tube at 30 inches. I really like the 10 inch head and 4 jets. The swivel on a stair tool is nice but needs some tweeking. The length is comfortable. The glide needs some break in or to be modified. Seems to bite in hard(that could be my powerful butler-scott joke). Next week I will put it to the test for a better evaluation.

How are you enjoying your new stair tool?

Which stair tool were you using previously ?

Thanks.

I was using a greenie stair tool. I am taking the glide and handle off and give it a try tomorow. Treds and risers are much easier with this tool, and saves time.

I'm curious to see your findings going glide-less with that tool.... I tried with my shortened PCTI and I was crying more than Ofer regarding the HK tool.....

Nate you were right, too much suck. I like it with no handle but that will be a personal preference. I just need to machine down the glide and a little more testing. I will get ahold of tony when I think it is good with final recomendations. I will also have a different cleaner try it.

I talked with tony today and have some question for forum members.
1st-2 jets or 4 jets
2nd- 2 inch tube or 1 1/5- the tool seems heavy, I don't mind the weight because it is only in my hands a short time per day.

2 jets would cut down on some weight I agree with Steve, 2-inch barrel. Looks like there is un-necessary weight near the head. What's the point of the (3) cuff like fittings?

That thing MIGHT actually make cleaning stairs somewhat less crappy!

I agree, stick with the 2" tube. If I had the option, I'd pick two jets. Very nice looking tool, It's gotta hurt my shoulder less than using the wand!:hopeless:

I'd ditch that but I don't care for swivels. Where is else is there weight? The hose manifold looks really funky, is there weight there that could be cut?

I finally got my Mytee wand handle and added it to my stair wand.... Going to try it out and see if it makes difference or not.... At least my puppy paws won't burn holding the tube anymore....

Still want to see PMF build a 2 inch tube swivel stair tool just like the 1 1/2 inch tube version.

No need to get all fancy with doo dads , sight glass etc.

Around the $200 price range.

I like the swivel to do those risers. Much better than breaking your wrist turning that straight wand over.
And I like how the PMF tube is curved vs straight.
