Cleaned a customers carpet yesterday that had a grout repair project. The lady let new grout dry on shower tiled walls. What is the best method of removal?

holy cow. if its super recent use a hand held tile tool and 1000psi and carefully just clean the grout off the tile without hitting the new grout lines. this might be a scrape job. mikey would be the guy to ask he is always fixing showers.

Go on to MBstone.com and find the non acidic grout haze remover.
You may need an acid so luckily the travertine flooor is alreay tumbled/ flat. Protect the chrome

Is the tile flat enough to use a razor on? Most likely a Black pad and a Makita, extra agressive Doodle pad if you're real lucky...

Knee pads, ear plugs.

Twice your normal hourly rate imo. It will suck as she left you the worse part...down low.

Do not use muiriatic, that stuff will kill ya.

If she has been using muriatic acid, she has probably already scorched the chrome. Look for a sort of gun blueing, run marks or ANY discoloration on the chrome, doorframe and drain. Make sure she sees it before you begin; photograph it.

You can use grout haze remover and a good stainless steel scrub pad. Take several. At only one week, the grout is still tender enough to sort of tickle off the tile, but be careful not to scrub so hard you leave dark marks. Common sense.
Promise a "whole bunch better", not perfection.
