Any thoughts on what type of tile this is?
It is quite rough to the touch and feels quite porous. There doesn't appear to have been any coating applied to it (other than the dirt)
The section to the left of the vertical divider is as it should be. That on the right is as the daily cleaners have it currently.

You'll want to clean it, ideally with the helper and apply your cleaning agent, scrub it in and rinse it off 100 - 200 square feet at a time.

If you're by yourself, do even less otherwise, the pre-spray soaks in and you'll end up streaking the floor with whatever spinner or wand you're using

Thanks Mike - the 'guru' from the property management company (big international outfit) wanted us to steam it. Having only used steamers for 26 years we bowed to her superior knowledge but intended to use our normal cleaning methods and costed accordingly. (about $6K which includes applying a penetrating sealer and cleaning of carpet also)
Steaming would take us 4-5 times as long and the result probably inferior.
I haven't encountered the streaking you mentioned and often we'll give our squirt lots of dwell time - is that streaking more common on unglazed?
Thanks again
