So how slammed are you?

50 jobs waiting to get completed in SCruz, 3 of which are two truck, multiple day projects

and a whole 5 jobs with a two day project in Nevada...

while our Scruz January was our worst ever due to rain, we are now 6k over last year, which was our record year.

It's hot here now in NV, so I'm going to try wearing one of those nylon fly fishing shirts with all the vents to try and stay cool.

How are you Southern Californians dealing with the 120º + weather?

It is relentless here....absolutely slammed out...and people are being very impatient to wait....

And even starting to lose some jobs now because we cannot get to them....but, have also had some who went with another company last year come back trying to get on the schedule with us....one of those is today that we are going to squeeze in....

Heat and humidity is bearable here....but the work load....up by 5 am and in office, out the door before 8 am and getting home around 8-9 pm to take on a pile of projects....

Today, of course son in law has to take off morning, young guy on weeks vacation, one van down for service as it needs major tune up (and hope we can maybe get back before end of day) next week slammed already...and booking into July with people who can plan...and some of them are great jobs. I am starting to feel the age maybe a tiny bit...but I am fighting back!

This winter....was awful again and terrible Spring....then everyone woke up.... :dejection:

Actually the week I am going to take off to drive to Nashville for Mikesy's Fest and Atlanta for a meeting are going to be nice. My Brother Kirk is also coming along to Mikey's Fest and just had a contact yesterday say coming now just because they want to see my Butler (as might be updating to one)

Well, shower time and get on the van! (Solo)

We are busy and its hot.

Upper 90's breaking 3-digits but the humidity is just killer.

Killing the guys doing pack out's at fires, tearing out drywall. Hauling equipment in and out of water damage projects.

Luckily I live and work in the very vicinity of the ocean so it's not too bad. It was only bad the last three days with nearly 100 degrees.. Significantly cooler this morning.

Got 22-23 jobs scheduled. I'm sure my collar will get sweaty..

No I will not go to work in shorts.. Even if it's over 110 degrees.

Not busy enough here in SF. It is difficult to keep 3 trucks fully booked. Guys are working 1/2 days and taking extra days off.
Had to roll back a recent price increases and give loyal customers a discount.
I'm thinking of adding Tile, grout and wood floor cleaning/renewing to our arsonal to drum up biz, but the chimps don't want it.

Chicken legs?

Lol.. No. Respecting my customers. For example a guy that had regular conversations with Einstein, the Khrushcev family..., hit the bull's-eye of Nixon Watergate...., or single handedly took on the CIA and stopped the domestic letter opening practice that the CIA was doing....Gorbachev... Kennedy... Etcetera

Slammed here in Tampa. I'm working today up until the time I fly to California tonight. Stressed about leaving for 9 days. On top of that my father is getting a new Everest hp e idle with a Ford Transit while I'm gone. But I need the vacation more now than ever. I've worked more 7-Day work weeks this year than I ever have before.

Dogs of summer! At least I'm not seasonal to where I have to kill myself to make up for the slow.

Have my son and his helper doing 4 jobs today, I'm going to the beach with the wife.

We usually have 3 weeks of 7-10 jobs a day and duel truck 4-5 days a week solo 1-2 with a helper

Then a week where it just slows down to one truck a day.

Wash rinse repeat. I like the week where it's one truck a day. By boys I'm going out.

Crazy busy for us. Not booked out like you are, but have been consistently booked out 2 weeks for the past two months and that's never happened for us before.

Exceeded our proforma goal for May and are trending to beat plan for June. Tons of referral and repeat bookings. Most of our new work is coming from that. And the jobs are big ones at that.

Hired a full time admin to help me and we are trying out a new guy tomorrow for a working interview. We've been pulling the "Saiger" and sending both trucks out most days cause it's the only way we can keep up. This way we can send one truck while another finishes if we need to in order to stay on time. It's nuts...but we are happy it is!

He's selling his 2014 Chevy w 870ss. He says he's getting to old to crawl in the old standard vans. So it will be a high top transit with new Everest 650 hp with e idle. Prochem is coming out with there redesigned all black Everest in a couple months and i might trade my newer 870ss for the new redesigned Everest in a couple months.

By the way Nate we absolutely loved Oahu last year. It's our favorite vacation to date. We didn't sit in Waikiki the whole week. We rented a convertible and was exploring everyday.

Good to hear! I was bummed you didn't let me buy you and your family dinner....

I didn't know the Everest 650 was getting redesigned, I thought it was only getting a new paint scheme

It is still relentless here right now...

Bless the phone for the work...but ugh...people want it today, tomorrow, before next Wednesday (which really means they want it today :( )

We are booking great jobs well ahead into July with regulars who know to call way ahead....but we are also seeing some great "we just purchased a home and closing on such and such a date...and it is empty" calls....

But Whoah....Nellie....is the Summer every flying by!

The week of Mikey's Fest when I am gone with the newer Van and Butler....we already have a couple jobs each day booked....don't remember it quite like this in sometime....weird year again.....

4 of us on payroll full time. (Two owners, one admin, one lead tech)

Started a part timer today.

Running both trucks anywhere from 2-4 days a week.

Once admin is up to speed...(she's already killing it on the phones) I'm going to be focusing on marketing FPA and Color Repair very aggressively.

I'm getting tired. I've been working on getting the kids trained. I'll get to the point that I can stand and watch them work. Should be soon.
If the work keeps up like it is, I might need to get another van.

get one of those shirts while you're at it.

They don't stick to your skin, dry out very quickly and make you do a double take when walking by a mirror

Hey who is that scholarly, ready for adventure looking fella?
