I used Tom's old wand today on two job hooked took the mighty Vortex.

Kicked my ass..
I miss my 1.5 whip and M12.

I used my 17 year old PC Ti and ran the V at 13000 on the 3rd...

I doubt I could use the new Devastator for very long on the V ( which has more suck than the AT)

The Dev wand has more suck.
This last week I met my buddy Ivan on a job he was working on. Ivan is running one of the first wands I worked on (devpro) I have been using my wand so long now that it has become the norm, but when Ivan tried it he was very shocked at how much more it pulled, the noise is really not louder, it is just more massive, He runs a SS-570. He could tell right away.
The cool thing is this amount of airflow now lets me tweek glides to see if we can make some improvments on them. He was running our regular teflon glide but with one of my mods and still had more suction over the old wand.
I have yet to put my wand together WITHOUT a swivel, it would make the wand a bit lighter I do know that. Now that I have my own mill and lathe I can play around and see how much more we can get out of it.
I also know that the wand is getting very good recovery, with the slot glide, I am putting in order for holed glides next as the recovery is even better with holes, but they are not the glide of choice due to limited pick up, guys that prevac will probably prefer the hole glide for better dry times and easier wand movement due to its bite.
Oh and @Mikey P we found a some furniture today, dresser and night stands, QS bedframe. We may need to find box spring in LV

Only me?

Who the heck do you think will be buying these things once word gets out. If Tom is smart he'll have it hooked to my truck in Vegas the whole time

RAGE owners are going to go nuts

Oh and suck it Sutley...

Tom's wand is going to put a ding on the 47 and 48 truckmount sales

Even though it will hurt my heat I think I'll try mine with 8 flow

I'll call it my Ron-Co Shortcut wand.

(Tom bring extra jets, 4, 6 and 8 flow)

If I had to choose, I would choose more heat over more flow.

Water flow, may be just psychological but I always feel better when my wand is popping and I have clouds of steam. If I increase my water flow to the point that I lose significant heat, I feel that I am not doing the same quality work. I feel the heat has a greater impact, especially on greasy carpets than more water flow.

add one more scoop of suds or pre scrub the carpet to get around less heat.

Heat is fun but burnt lawns, melted Olefins, shorter life on your hoses, seals, ball valves and PARKER tattoos come at a heavy price..

I might still try going 9503 on the outsides and 1103 on the inside for a 12 flow again and see what I get.

The 8 flow is good....I just wonder about the impact of a 12 flow too....

Easy to switch out the jets on the extra manifolds I have to try it....

and I have experienced all that but my old lg heater had wonky controls, used to get 280 degrees at the truck and yes it was too hot but at the same time it was addictive. You knew it could burn you, the carpets the lawn and anything else it touched. When you pulled the trigger, it made the old ladies jump. You couldn't see what you were cleaning for the steam but you knew it was clean, nothing could survive under that onslaught of extreme heat. Sadly, but safely, my new lg heater has good controls and gives me decent heat but I miss that insane, chewing gum, crayon melting heat.
