Too Wet stairs?

Did you notice those stairs are made with 2x12's instead of stair treads. I hate that and it's hard on the carpet. Builder took a cheap cut.

I'd say there is your issue.


If pre spraying at start of job and they are still wet an hour(or so) later(after cleaning other areas), more than likely this is the problem.


Too much pre spray, staying wet for too long, soaking down(deep). The quantity of pre spray to keep something wet for a long time could simply be too moisture.
I concur!

I'd do the stair first, put and airmover on them so they get as dry as they can before you leave. Trade agitation for dwell time.
