This is why my girlfriend enjoys reading posts on MB.

Her very large, politically diverse family has Thanksgiving together. They always start with an uneasy peace agreement to leave politics off the table.

Carol, who couldn't care less about politics, and despite my pleadings ahead of time, will drop the most explosive current topic within in minutes of the beginning of the meal....out of pure nihilistic joy.

I just (figuratively) hide under the table after it starts.

It remains a concern to me that Fred Boyle is her favorite MB personality.....
