two stage vs three stage

I was wondering the other day what the difference is between two stage vs three stage in terms of potables and is three really a big of a difference compared to two. and what the *)(( is this stage about is it the vaccum or hose line

What I am basically asking is when us products or century says there portables have three stage and others say two stage what are they talking about

The most common 2-stage vac used in portable extractors has vac power of ~250 air watts.

Some of our efficient new 3-stage vacs have vac power of ~640 air watts

That is over 250% of the original 2-stage vac.

IF the manufacturer uses these new vacs, you will see a big difference in performance.

Ask them how many amps they are drawing and decide if you can use a machine that has to draw from more than one circuit.
The 3 stage link Larry gave you draws 14 amps. Put 2 of them in a machine plus a decent sized pump and you may have a problem.

Roro is correct.

The vac we use most often is our LMB2A model (550 air watts).

It only draws about 12 amps, so it can be used with a 3 amp pump system.
