What do you think her motivation was by taking video, posting on he page and tagging our business FB page?

Was she our to get us? Is she wanted to make us aware she could have called or PMed the video to us. Why so it this way?

We are blocked from her and can't even comment to respond on the post. I could only on her. I think it would be great fire brine to see us publicly acknowledging this and ak

Moral is.... We all do make mistakes. Why hassle or this way is not out to make a point.

I just want everyone to know it easily could be you.

And as much as I come of as us being great, we make mistakes too. I think it's important to share our triumphs and screw ups.

We are humble enough to admit our mistakes. And want others to avoid making the same ones id they can. It's great to learn from each other here
There are lots of idiot drivers out there, me included sometimes. The police can't be everywhere so with new technology, we have spawned a new version of the vigilante. You have to expect to be cameras everywhere, I just gave my wife shit because she yelled asshole at a driver who was driving idiotically. I had to remind her that we are in a large signed vehicle with our phone number on it. You also have to make sure your drivers aren't smoking, are dressed appropriately and aren't picking their nose when they are in your vehicles.

Not sure John did anything wrong, not knowing the road or speeds involved. It's legal to pass in most places, even without the permission of the pokey driver.

Are you kidding me? I would be so pissed at a driver on my a** like that. Never mind that just a very light tap of the ladies brakes and that van truly is inside of her trunk.

In the first place the stopping distance of the van is at least 40% longer than the car. Number two by the time he reacts to her brake he has already hit her. If they both see the obstacle at the same time and hit the brakes he still takes out her trunk...

If it were an employee he would never drive my rig again....

But what do I know.

I'd check your local laws on using a cell phone while driving especially videoing..... It's a $297 dollar fine here for any electronic device in your hand... 2 wrongs don't make it right, but objects in the mirror are closer then they appear......

And driving an unmarked van has it privileges....

Three seconds space and you're golden. Just don't sweat it and move on. You did the right thing PM'ing her, whether or not she acknowleges it.

And, don't kick Marty.

I think the only mistake you made was Loading down work on Mr. Clean to make him get in a hurry. Try giving him only 4-5 jobs a day, instead of 10 jobs, and he'll be more patient behind Facebook aholics:stir:

Shes probably one of those Sunday drivers, EVERY FREAKEN DAY OF THE WEEK and was tired of being tail gated by everybody because she drives SO FREAKEN SLOW ALL THE TIME. So she figured she would video it the next time... i bet she was driving extra slow, being that she was crossing her arm accross her body and still filming pretty steadily. That video i would show to the police to get her a massive ticket and hopefully jailtime and get her slow a$$ off the street for a few days... lol ok sorry, had to get that off my chest.

Atleast your guy didnt flip her off.. always a possitive in there somewhere.

Only a small percentage of people who actually follow her will see the video. Facebook limits views to 15% unless someone shares it and then it will be seen by a few more. Facebook wants you to "promote" pay for more people to see your video. People have very short attention spans now so next cute cat video that pops up in their feed ... one about every 2 or 3 minutes, and your video will be forgotten. Might be fun to post a parody video from your point of view to counter it... make it funny.
I watched the video and thought- That could easily have been me. So, thank you for sharing it.

Oh yea, dont forget to tell the cops that she was playing pokemon go before she started filming you. They will probably tackle her down and have to do cavity searches..

I live in far to fragile a "glass house" to throw stones at John.

I am glad that in much of my driving lifetime that video recording was not yet possible.

Your response to the individual who complained was appropriate. The damage to your company reputation is likely very minimal, as Bob pointed out.

One more comment about John:

I've talked to him several times on the phone regarding cleaning issues and questions: This guy has to be one of the most intensely caring individuals when it comes to cleaning things and giving the customer more than their money's worth. If my mother lived in his service area, I'd have John do the cleaning for her, and leave a blank check (yes, I am familiar with how much Burdick's charge). I know the job would be done perfectly, and she'd be treated with respect and caring by John.

Thank you, Jim. Very true.

We all have these days. I'm glad the vehicles I drive in aren't marked! I have a lead foot myself.

Try giving him only 4-5 jobs a day, instead of 10 jobs,
Seeing as we typically do only 2-3 jobs a day, I don't know how I could scale back anymore. Guess we gotta keep increasing prices so we can just do one job per day and we won't have this problem.

Sheesh, does everyone on here live out in the country?

In Detroit we would consider that more than enough space, even driving at freeway speed!! You leave more than 1 car length between you and the car in front of you and someone else will slide in to fill the gap.

I also agree that the worst thing I saw happening in that video was the woman filming while driving.

My pick up truck had logos on it and one day I was trying to get over so I could get my exit. The lady saw me trying to get over, turn signals and all and she thought she was going to be cute and speed up to so I couldn't get over. I got over anyway and she had to slam on her brakes and swerve.
Within 30 seconds my phone rang. Of course it was her telling me that my employee just cut her off.
I informed her that it was not my employee but me and I know exactly what happened. I asked her why she was so rude trying to make me miss my exit. She hung up on me....lol!
I wouldn't sweat it Meg and John...really it appears that she was in the wrong.

I've talked to him a couple of times and he is very professional and as you said concerned for his clients and the value they receive from his services.

I thought of this as I drove behind a pokey driver this afternoon. 30 in a 40 and I bit a hole in my lip trying to stay back until it got to dual lanes.
