Shot myself in the foot today.

Bid it for 3hours at 300 and it took 5


They have a handicap Great Dane that owns the white sectional.
Hair under and in between killed us. So did the entire prevac part!

If it took me five hours to clean a sofa, I'd be saying "it is what it is ma'am" after the 46th minute!

I have never spent 5 hours on a sofa, but neither have I ever spent as few as 45 minutes. Hour and a half is the norm.

Don't sweat it.

It was a paid lesson in time management. Now you know when you see something similar to price it a bit higher.

$60.00 a hour is survivable, you didn't lose any, you just didn't make as much as you could.

Don't feel bad, I under bid a job by $5k... Still made money, just didn't make as much as we could have.... :hopeless: $10k for 4 days isn't too shabby...

I bid a job over the phone for $340, guy asked a time estimate. I told him maybe 3 hrs.
Took me 2... So I charged him $300.00

3 sofas, an ottoman, a chair, 4 throw pillows plus 5 rooms of heavily soiled w red clay mud carpet.


Plus moving stuff.



Aint no way I am staring at the same piece a furniture for 4 hours. Attention span not that long : )
