It was an old school turned into apts .. no elevator .. parking was 200 feet to the front door .. did the 3rd floor 500sf loft and bed room then brought the machine down to the 2nd floor to do the 24 steps up to the 3rd floor .. I got a back ache and ended up with a $50 tip ..

I asked if we were the first company to be called .. he didnt answer me and looked at her and she looked at him then said to me ," well I happen to see your ads and I wanted to use you .. im thinking well that dosent answer my question .. its probably more like ," weve called a hundred companies and no one wanted to do it ..

557sf loft for $334.20
9sf landing for $5.40
23 steps for $92.00
Portable upcharge fee 20%=$86.32

It came to $517.92 plus $50 BPUC (back pain up charge) Jk .. it was a tip .. took me 1 hour to pre-vac, bring shit in and turn on the machine .. then 3 more hours to clean and wrap up .. water pressure was low at there place .. my legs were killing me going up and down getting shit .. and I had a kink in my back .. so slow cleaning .. I post vac twice cause Im using a portable .. wanna make sure shit drys fine .. a redo would blow my mind here ..

so yeah it wasnt too bad to do .. a helper next time would be perfect ..

Oh and she said she was having some furniture delivered tommorow and she looked at me like she was telling me a secret and said ,"yeah , they dont know theres no elevator here .. so that kinda leads me to beleive she may have had a problem getting someone to clean her carpets ... cause she purposely left out the "no elevator" part .. she was vague about her situation on the phone .. but willing to pay the 20% upcharge quoted on the phone .. oh well .. id do it again ..

I have to go up 4 stories to do a 600 sq ft loft on Tuesday, no elevator. I hope to get close enough to pull up and get through the window. Will take the portable just in case.

Thanks for that link Bryan. I saw something like that device used in the movie "Hannibal", but for a less worthy purpose.
