Thanks, Luis, for your comments. Also, we should remember Mytee is not getting this money. It goes to Mikey'sboard. By participating in the auction is just a small way we support the Board that helps us all.

Can the machine be fitted with larger wheels to go up and down stairs easier?

No. If you're looking for a light weight machine, this is not it. This is a first rate heavy duty unit that will give many years of trouble free service. The, machine only, weights in at 105 lbs. The wheels will allow it to roll up and down stairs, but it's not for the faint hearted. If weight is a problem you'd better stick with an Oreck or a Kolblenz.

John L. , I laughed my butt off when I read your post to Bill (aka tmdry) . Certainly you couldn't have known Bill is a freaking HUGE guy at 6'5 240 pounds. Better get an orek Bill, and leave that "1st rate heavy duty machine" for us big guys. lol

Whoops. I'm glad he's a friendly Giant or I'd be in trouble.

Luis is @ $700.

I want to ask John how Powr Flite can make and sell their 175 for so cheap?

I'm gonna assume the motor in the Mytee is going to last longer and is 1.5 horse compared to the lonely 1 of the PF

That's a question for Powerflite. If it's a 1 hp and the gears are double planetary, that will lower the cost considerably. When we designed Mytee's we could have cheapened it, but then we would be like the others out there. Add for freight, shampoo brush and tank and you're not far off the bid price.

Here's what you don't get: 1) 1.5 hp 2) triple planetary gears for more torque 3) Lever type handle adjustment (no bending, much better for changing pads and bonnets) 4) Ambidextrous safety switch 5) 50' power cord 6) urethane ball bearing wheels 7) quality Imperial motor 8) The shampoo tank is unparalleled in the Industry with it's many features (like fill hose, sealed lid, Qd hose set up, best tank mounting bracket in the industry, integrated actuating solution lever built into the handle of the floor machine ( no one else does this in the industry even though Hild did it back in the 1940's) BTW Hild was the originator of on-site carpet cleaning, they were the ones who developed the first shower feed brush head. The shampoo brush that comes in this package is the best that I know of. It's made by Malish, has a poly block (not wood) with nylon fibers (not polypro) and has a stainless steel "glide" ( Harris has got to hate it when I say that)

And the number one reason to buy this unit is the money paid supports MIKEY"S BOARD. And Powerflite can't say that.

Congratulations - you won. Nice machine. Mike's out riding his cycle for a few days. When he gets back he will PM you with the details.

Now with that deal you also have to do a write up here on a post to tell us what you think of the machine. We all will want to know.

John, I bet if you put up a lighter machine there would be a a lot of interest. Maybe next time. That pad with the glide looks really good.

Thanks Luis for supporting the board and thanks John for your support too.

Mickey, I have $700.00 Mexican pesos burning a hole in my pocket. Where do you want
me to send them so I can get my new 175.

Congratulations Luis. Since you live so close to us and if you're willing to pick it up, you can upgrade to an SD 17 Diamond Head for the same price. (see the web site for the spec's) It will still come with the Wave tank and the shampoo brush. Just let us know and we will have it ready for you. Thanks again and I hope you enjoy your new machine.
