Upholstery issue ?

can anyone peg exactly why this fabric turns dark when pressed against its own fabric? Im pretty sure the whole couch is NOT faded and the darker areas are only where the fabric is covered or between the pieces.

Is this off gassing? (Im not cleaning this, and it is completely dry, just noticed as I was carpet cleaning).

I’d lean more towards Ozone fading /off gassing if no sun comes into contact with it.. Sun fade is when direct sunlight comes into contact with material..

We always say blue dye is the first color to leave the carpet.. We deal with tropical weather issues here.. As for fabrics, I’d take into consideration what type of environment it’s in as brainstorm what’s the issue..
