The Kleenrite Sphere is a nice unit for upholstery. Have used it many times for color correction jobs also. Small footprint...nice and hot.

I like this one because you can get it with sufficient pressure to work well with a "dry tool" (like the SS Upholstery Pro), where some of the other "dedicated upholstery machines" (KR 204/US Products Ultimate) and spotting machines have too little pressure and vacuum to work well with such tools. Plus that extra volume, vacuum and heat clean better than those units will clean.

Any good portable can give you the heat/pressure/vac to make one of those tools work well, but most are too bulky or heavy.

The Sphere gives you all of that, plus they are well made, durable, and readily available from most distributors for local service.

All true, Jim. Still a cumbersome machine.
A good upholstery cleaning machine has to be all of that + easy to unload and maneuver between floors. We don't always have the luxury of elevators and open flat spaces to deal with.

A good dedicated machine will take care of it with the right ergonomic design, enough pressure, heat and water capacity.

While it may be a little cumbersome in that aspect, the thing I really like about that machine is that you can pull each reservoir off the machine to either gain more water or empty the dump tank. You can fill or empty without having to unplug all your hoses and cords to relocate the machine to either the water source or toilet. Plus the build quality is top notch...

Thanks for the info! I'm trying to set something up for a couple of girls to regularly help with upholstery. So I'm looking for something that is dependable but not cumbersome.

Genny cleaned a couch chair and ottoman yesterday using the spotter I got from you while I cleaned bedrooms. Its a house loaded with dog hair that I do every couple years.

She handled it like a pro! The customer told me what a great girl I have and how she's a great worker. I dont think I ever got the furniture so clean.

We use that spotter a lot thank you!

Takes me back to the U.S. Products Ultimate machine.... I believe we have 3 sitting on the mezzanine... Portability but constant filling/dumping gets old fast... Water does get hotter than shit though...

I remember having to clean 500 chairs at a restaurant that were nice and greasy... They locked us in at 11pm and let us out at 7am.... The thing's I had to do when I was 11years old....
