Ordered a pump. UPS phones and gives a prerecorded tracking number. Doesn't work.No record of the shipment. It was shipped last Thursday. They don't know their ass from a hole in the ground.

Yup. I belong to an audio forum, and the horror stories I’ve read about guys shipping audio gear through UPS is scary...

I thought the same recently-- until I learned it was shipped by Amazon.

Could you have entered the tracking number incorrectly?

UPS had been consistently bad for a few years so we switched to FedEx at Excellent Supply. Eventually, UPS added some massive new state of the art hubs, and FedEx slid behind.

Then the Coronavirus hit and consumers quadrupled their online shopping. The perfect storm! Presently all the carriers are being pushed past their breaking point.

Since FedEx has seriously declined we’ve switched back to UPS. In fact, they're now considerably better than FedEx. UPS is currently stronger and better suited for the maelstrom than the others.

Bottom line; the entire shipping infrastructure is in pretty bad shape. Actually made a video about this a few months back.

I haven't tried anyone else as most places use UPS. Last year I paid close to $275 to overnight 2 pumps that arrived 5 days later. 2 machines pooped in 2 days. Thankfully, Ron Marriott loaned me a machine that helped me out immensely. I talked to them and they said it was up to the vendor to file a complaint. The vendor couldn't do sweet fanny adams. This time, same vendor, UPS will deliver in 4 business days.$52.83 plus customs. Nope. UPS sucks.

Willy, you are right. Don't expect on-time delivery or bargains. Not from any of the carriers. They can't handle the current load. Their systems weren't built for this level. UPS is struggling, FedEx is broken, and USPS isn't a contender. Honestly, in view of what they're dealing with, I'm surprised the situation isn't worse.

I watched that too, still dont know what the grits are...

Bonastre doesn't rate these pads with standard grit numbering. Instead - the 3 colored pads cover the full spectrum. If I had to rate them I'd say the Burgundy is around 100-200, the Yellow is probably in the range of 400-600, and the Green would likely be over 1,000. But attempting to number them wouldn't be accurate because there's a lot of overlap with this 3 pad system. In real-world floor care, you simply go from Burgundy to Yellow to Green and a dull floor will produce a crazy shine. Just like the demo in the video shows. The approach is unique and simple. Kinda like encap ;-)
