I have been tasked with selling 4 used Hydramasters for another company that went out of business. 3 of them are CDS' and one is a Crossfire. All are in Ford vans.

I don't know much about them, nor do I know what I can expect to get for them.

They are:

1999 Crossfire with 202931 miles with 5563 hrs
2003 CDS with 187742 miles with 6136 hrs
2004 CDS with 174793 miles with 5432 hours
(this is mounted in a small box truck, though the motor has a dead cylinder)
2009 CDS with 172456 miles with 4513 hours

The 3 CDS have the electric hose reel with the freshwater tank under the reel. They supposedly all run, though we haven't started to go through them yet. It doesn't look like they have been properly maintained but we will do our best to get them running the way they should.

Any idea what I should ask for them?

Nobody can have any idea until you go through them. Makes a big difference running or not. Condition and appearance of vehicle, etc. All have high hours on them. Right now I would say between $1000-$5000.

I might be interested in the 09 if there's a family/friends discount involved!

Hey Brian, the pictures of you Butlers for sale on their website sure stand out as well maintained as opposed to the other people who post pics of dirty unmaintained vans hoping to cash in on the Butler name.
It looks as if they literally empty them out and don't even pretend to make them look presentable.

Any thoughts on where we can advertise them?

We did test them and the equipment does appear to run. They spit and suck at least.
The owner is hoping to get $5,000 a piece for the older trucks and $15,000 for the 2009.

Craigslist. I check Craigslist every day for bargains.

I'd give a grand for the machine and front end only. Pretty solid design but high maintenance. When SS decided to switch to the HM front end I knew the Pro 1200's days are short.

Vans have high miles, so aren't worth much. The 2009 without unit would average $3-4k and the others closer to $1,500. Add about $7-8k for the installed CDS since they have low hours for a CDS. If that 2009 was in really good shape, I'd ask the $15k and see what kind of interest it generates.

We've advertised at JonDon, Interlink and Craigslist when selling, and looking at comps on those sites is worth the time.
