I was just wondering if any of you folks ever used your carpet cleaning presprays, detergents for anything other then carpet cleaning.

Such as; deck cleaning, vinyl siding, etc.

How did it work?

I've used Flex Powder with Citrus Solv in a trigger sprayer to degrease a range hood - with astounding results I might add....

the reason I did ask that question was a customer did ask if the detergent I used would get rid of the skid marks off her husbands bvd's.

Ohhh skidmarks?? Just a splash of matrix mirracle, let it sit then follow with oxidizer as needed. If it was taconight stains, spray with simple green before putting in wash. Works all the time:redface:

As a general rule, most products will work on a variety of cleaning tasks. We do, however, make products for a specific function. Pre-sprays have solvents, surfactants and builders designed for alklainity and less for rinsing ability. Most rinses products are builders primarily for rinsing at high dilutions along with penetrating surfactants which also work at high dilution. At high dilution solvents do not perform and strength of alkalinity is significantly reduced. A pre-spray is not a good rinse, and a rinse is not a good pre-spray. In a pinch, they can replace one another, but will not work as well as a products designed for specific tasks. However, a cleaner has to select the fewest number of products that can effectively do the majority of its work in order to keep it as simple as possible for everyone involved.
