It is with great disappointment and frustration we share this news with you. Due ongoing c/19 restrictions , the Vegas RMH has just notified us we are not permitted on the property to do the cleaning. Unfortunately, this was a decision made by them very late in the game that has a significant impact on our Mikey's Fest Event. We respect the difficult decision they had to make for the safety and well being of the children and families. We understand that the kids and families well being comes first, even if it causes disruption for all of us.
We have been planning this since November of 19 so we share in your disappointment. We apologize immensely for any inconveniences, and hassles this may cause those of you who graciously planned to take time to help out . Please note that airlines have very liberal cancellation policies and are letting people apply the funds to future travel. The Tuscany Hotel also has a great cancellation policy for those that have booked rooms there.
In the past two days, we have tried to find an alternative charity and have even been in contact with the Las Vegas Fire Department to try to come up with another way to hold the Fest and do good. Large group restrictions and short timing for any of them to plan has made it impossible for us to pull this off.
We want to thank all the attendees, supportive vendors, boots on the ground etc, for all you have done to help make this happen. All Mikey’s Fest RMH events take a team much larger than you would think to make happen and I greatly appreciate your efforts and support. Damon Williams and Ty Cranmore are to be especially commended for their efforts.
Hopefully, we all can get together again in Phoenix in November 2021, keep your fingers crossed!!
The IICRC Hard Surface Course will still take place. Bryan and Mike have modified the agenda to come up with additional learning activities, which to be honest, will far exceed what you were going to learn and apply at the RMH, . Plan for a full day on Tuesday at the IICRC Headquarters.
