Is there any way to clean one of these in a home. I have a jiggle machine and a 175 on the truck but still can't figure these rugs out. The fibers when wet all clump together and look terrible.

Requires a lot of grooming throughout the drying process. Get the fibers to unclump (separate) and then be dry enough to stand on their own after drying. Wet viscose rayon simply does not have the strength for the fibers to stand erect.

I equate it to the particle board of carpets. I try to never clean them. The decorators love them. Most here have switched to a polyester carpet that gives them the same look. The cheap viscose rugs they sale that are very thin I don't ever clean.

We clean these all the time with moderate success. The key we find is to treat them similar to cleaning silks. Don't ever use any kind of rotary agitation, only brush in the direction of the pile. It is key that the rugs are groomed in the direction of the pile while wet and left alone to dry. Any movement of the pile, or if it falls off a drying pole, will create distortion in the pile that can only be corrected by re-wetting the rug and grooming/drying again.

This has worked well for us, we try not to stress about it, and as with all cleaning it is important to set the clients expectations prior to getting them to sign off on the cleaning. Good luck!

For the most part, their value is limited to sentimental, unless it has some historical value. I've bought and used them for decor, and considered them to be rather disposable after use (soiled). Their retail replacement cost is less than the typical area rug cleaning charge.

Viscose is a good fiber for anything you never walk on, sit on, or wear.

Good advice from everyone
