You are 100% correct. It is a low class, low income, redneck hellhole.

The upper class of my county would be lower middle class in a decent area.

The routes to success here are: get a government job, be born into a multi generational farm family, or make your money living somewhere else and retire here.

Yeah, cleaned his carpet a few weeks back. Last name was Leatherwood. His business sold to Chem Lawn in the mid ‘80’s. He was also an engineer. Turns out Chem Lawn was using the waste water for part of the fertilizer spray.

There are a lot of people moving in from Columbus to the Rocky Fork Lake area. I’m not sure what the attraction is, other than they aren’t aware of the drug and theft situation there, since they’re from out of the area.

I know around Circleville there's been a lot of property investors buying up run-down places and either flipping them or renting them. There's a guy on YouTube and his channel is InvestmentJoy. He is there around Circleville and built like a 120+ property rental business leveraging cash flow and equity.

I don't know what is worse, that area or Portsmouth. I hunt down in Nelsonville. That poor town went to hell when they re-routed 33 to go around it and turned it into a ghost town.
