Problem today starting job. Engaged PTO and a clunking noise from blower area. Turned off water pump and still clunking. I pulled the intake on blower and freely spun blower and no noise and lobes look clean and no Knicks or visual damage.
I went ahead and pulled PTO pulley drive belts and ran PTO solo not connected to blower and sounds smooth. I also hand turned blower solo not connected by belts to either pump or PTO pulley and sounds smooth. Any one have any ideas.

Side note. I used truck day before and ran normal no issues. I did grease bearings on grease side of blower and PTO shaft. My problem knocking started next day.

I greased the blower day before. Will that cause a clunking noise so soon.

Would an out of time issue start out of nowhere or start little at a time.

Bob is probably right. The timing usually developed slowly and gets worse.

Flat feeler gauge to compare both leading and trailing gaps on each end of the lobes.

Get a mechanics stethoscope and it should reveal the problem. Your pillow block bearings can make a lot of noise under a load. I would reassemble it and listen.

Blower needs new bearings and seals, make sure it is shimmed well/tolerances are equal and even throughout.

Just a thought. If you still have the old blower replace the main bearing and save it for later. Then when the bearing in the new blower wears out you can swap it out. You can also have a blower repair shop do it for you.
